Tafraoute day trip from Agadir
Tafraoute lies in a valley of pink granite boulders in the Anti-Atlas, surrounded by Amazigh villages and almond trees. It is a long day from Agadir, but a beautiful one, on mountain roads with almost no traffic. If you can, stay a night: see our 2-day Anti-Atlas tour.
How the day goes
Early pick-up and drive into the Anti-Atlas through Aït Baha, with a stop at the hilltop village of Tizourgane.
Arrive in Tafraoute and visit the Painted Rocks, blue and pink boulders first painted by a Belgian artist in 1984. Lunch in town.
A short walk in the Ammeln Valley villages, then the drive back to Agadir, arriving in the evening.
