Booking terms
Simple, fair rules for booking a private tour with Oasis Roads: deposit, payment, changes and cancellation.
How booking works
Every Oasis Roads journey is private and planned for you. After you send us your dates and group size, we send you a written quote: the day-by-day route, the riads, hotels and camps, what is included and one total price.
Your booking is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing (by WhatsApp or email) and we receive your deposit. We then reserve your car, your driver-guide and every night of your stay.
Prices
Prices on this website are indicative prices per person, based on two people sharing a double room, and may change with the season, the riads you choose and the number of travellers. The price in your written quote is the price you pay.
Prices include what your quote lists as included, usually your private car with fuel, your English-speaking driver-guide, all nights in the riads, hotels and camps named in your quote, breakfasts, dinners where stated, and the camel ride and camp night in the desert. Flights, travel insurance, lunches, drinks, entrance fees, local guides in the cities unless stated, and tips are not included.
Deposit and payment
To confirm your booking we ask for a deposit of 30% of the total price.
You can pay the deposit by PayPal or by bank transfer (Wise transfers are welcome). We send you the payment details with your quote.
The remaining balance is paid on the first day of your tour, in cash in euros, US dollars or Moroccan dirhams, or by bank transfer before you arrive.
Changes
You can ask to change your route, riads or dates at any time. We will always try to help. If a change costs more (for example a more expensive riad or an extra night), we send you the new price before we confirm it.
On the road, your driver-guide can adapt the day to the weather, road conditions or your energy. If a change is needed for your safety, such as snow on a mountain pass, we will find the best alternative with you.
Cancellation by you
Please tell us in writing (WhatsApp or email) if you need to cancel.
More than 30 days before your tour starts: we refund your deposit in full, minus any payment fees charged by PayPal or the bank.
15 to 30 days before your tour starts: we refund 50% of your deposit.
Less than 15 days before your tour starts, or if you do not arrive: the deposit is not refunded.
Instead of a refund, you can move your deposit to new dates within 12 months, once, free of charge.
Days of a tour that you choose not to use once it has started are not refunded.
Cancellation by us
If we ever have to cancel your tour, for example because of a natural event, a road closure or a serious problem that makes the trip unsafe, we refund everything you have paid us, or offer you new dates if you prefer.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical costs, cancellation and lost luggage. It is your responsibility to arrange it before you travel.
Passports and health
You are responsible for having a valid passport and any visa you need for Morocco. Please tell us before you travel about any health conditions, allergies or mobility needs, so we can plan the right riads, meals and walks for you.
Our responsibility
We take care to choose safe vehicles, experienced drivers and good places to stay. Some services, such as riads, hotels, camps and local guides, are run by independent partners. We are not responsible for losses or delays caused by events outside our control, such as weather, strikes, flight delays or road closures, but we will always do our best to help you on the spot.
Questions or problems
If something is not right during your trip, tell your driver-guide or message us straight away, so we can fix it while you are still with us.
