Souss-Massa National Park from Agadir
South of Agadir, the Souss-Massa National Park protects a wild stretch of Atlantic coast, dunes and the mouth of the Massa river. It is one of the last places in the world where the northern bald ibis lives in the wild, and a good spot for flamingos and other water birds in winter and spring.
How the day goes
Pick-up at your hotel and drive south through farmland to the Massa river.
A walk along the river mouth and the dunes with your guide, looking for birds, then time on the empty beach.
Back to Agadir after lunch, or on to Tiznit if you want to see the silver souk.

Often, but it is not guaranteed. The birds move along the coast, and we ask local guides where they have been seen.
When is the best time?
