3-Day Sahara, Todra and Dades Tour from Errachidia
A compact loop that shows you the best of the south-east without long drives. You sleep in the dunes of Erg Chebbi, walk between the high walls of the Todra Gorge, spend a night among the red rocks of the Dades Valley and return to Errachidia through the oasis towns of Tinejdad and Goulmima.
Best for: Desert and mountains in three days, starting and ending at Errachidia airport.

Day by day
Driving times are honest estimates for the time behind the wheel. Stops for photos, tea and lunch come on top, and you can always ask your driver to stop.
Day 1Errachidia – Meski Blue Spring – Erfoud – Merzouga

Pick-up at Errachidia airport or your hotel. First stop is the Blue Spring of Meski, a natural pool in the palm grove below an old ksar. The road follows the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and on to Merzouga, where you ride a camel into the dunes of Erg Chebbi for sunset. Dinner and a night in your private desert camp.
Day 2Merzouga – Rissani – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Merzouga – Rissani – Tinghir – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Sunrise from the top of a dune, then breakfast at camp. In Rissani you walk the souk of the old caravan town. The road crosses the stony desert to Tinghir and its long green oasis, then into the Todra Gorge, where you walk between cliffs up to 300 m high. Evening in the Dades Valley, among red rock formations.
Day 3Dades Valley – Tinejdad – Goulmima – Errachidia
Dades Valley – Tinejdad – Goulmima – Errachidia
A morning walk among the rock formations of the Dades, then east through Tinejdad and the oasis of Goulmima, where old fortified villages still stand among the palms. Back in Errachidia in the afternoon.

Your night in the dunes of Erg Chebbi is far from any city lights. On nights with little or no moon, the Milky Way stretches across the whole sky. Pick a month to see the darkest nights.
Moon phases are calculated for each night at 10 pm. Clear skies are most common from October to May.

No. Every Oasis Roads journey is private: your own car and driver-guide in your language, no strangers, up to 7 travellers per car.
Can you pick us up at Errachidia airport?
Yes. Your driver-guide waits at arrivals with your name, and can drop you back at the airport or your hotel on the last day.
Can we change the route or add nights?
Yes. Because the tour is private, we can add a night, swap a stop or change the end city. Tell us when you ask for your quote.
