Aït Benhaddou day trip from Marrakech
Aït Benhaddou is a fortified village of earth houses on a hill above a river, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the backdrop of many films. To get there, you cross the High Atlas on the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 metres, one of the most spectacular roads in Morocco.
How the day goes

Questions
Is Aït Benhaddou too far for a day trip?
It's a long day, about 7 to 8 hours of driving in total. If you can, it's more relaxed to see it on a 2 or 3-day desert trip, where it's on the way.
Is the Tizi n'Tichka road safe?
Yes, it's a good road with many bends. Your driver knows it well. In winter, snow can close it for a few hours, and we check before we leave.
Can we add the desert?
Yes. Our 2-day Zagora tour and 3-day Merzouga tour both stop at Aït Benhaddou.
