7-Day Tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara and the Atlantic
A week from Fes that ends at the sea. Two nights in the Sahara with nomads and Gnawa music, the Todra and Dades valleys, Aït Benhaddou, then south-west through the saffron country of Taliouine to Agadir, the surf villages of Taghazout and the coast road to Essaouira, before Marrakech.
Best for: Seeing the desert and the ocean in one week.

Day by day
Day 1Fes – Ifrane – Azrou cedars – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
A long and beautiful drive across the Middle Atlas: Ifrane with its alpine roofs, the cedar forest of Azrou where Barbary macaques live, lunch in Midelt below the High Atlas, then the Ziz Gorges and a ribbon of date palms down to Erfoud. At Merzouga you swap the car for a camel and ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi for sunset. Dinner, Berber drums by the fire and a night in your private tent.
Day 2A day in the desert
Tea with a nomad family, the old kohl mines of M'Ifis and Gnawa music in Khamlia. Second night at camp.
Day 3Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades
Rissani's souk, the Todra Gorge walk and a night in the Dades Valley.
Day 4Dades – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou
The Roses Valley and Skoura, Ouarzazate, and a night facing the ksar of Aït Benhaddou.
Day 5Aït Benhaddou – Taznakht – Taliouine – Agadir
Across the Anti-Atlas by Taznakht, known for its carpets, and Taliouine, Morocco's saffron capital, down to Agadir on the ocean.
Day 6Agadir – Taghazout – Essaouira
Up the coast by the surf village of Taghazout and empty beaches to Essaouira.
Day 7Essaouira – Marrakech
A free morning in Essaouira, then through argan country to Marrakech.

No. Every Oasis Roads journey is private: your own car and English-speaking driver-guide, no strangers, up to 7 travellers per car.
Can we end in Agadir instead?
Yes, finish on day 5 in Agadir if you fly from there.
Can we change the route or add nights?
Yes. Because the tour is private, we can add a night, swap a stop or change the end city. Tell us when you ask for your quote.
