5-Day Tour from Fes to Marrakech via N'kob and Ouzoud Falls
This is our own road. After a night in the dunes you leave the usual route and cross the stony plateau below Jbel Saghro by Alnif, known for its fossils, to N'kob, the village of 45 kasbahs where our founder Abdou grew up. Then the Draa Valley, Ouarzazate, Aït Benhaddou and the Ouzoud waterfalls before Marrakech.
Best for: Travellers who want the road less taken.

Day by day
Day 1Fes – Ifrane – Azrou cedars – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
A long and beautiful drive across the Middle Atlas: Ifrane with its alpine roofs, the cedar forest of Azrou where Barbary macaques live, lunch in Midelt below the High Atlas, then the Ziz Gorges and a ribbon of date palms down to Erfoud. At Merzouga you swap the car for a camel and ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi for sunset. Dinner, Berber drums by the fire and a night in your private tent.

After sunrise you head west on the quiet road below Jbel Saghro: the souk of Rissani, the fossil workshops of Alnif and the oasis of Tazarine. In N'kob you walk among the kasbahs with someone who grew up there, and sleep in one.

Morning at Aït Benhaddou, then across the High Atlas by a mountain road to the Ouzoud falls. Walk down to the pools before dinner.

Questions about this journey
Why N'kob?
It is our founder's home village and one of the best-kept kasbah villages in Morocco, yet very few tours stop there.
Is this a group tour?
No. Every Oasis Roads journey is private: your own car and English-speaking driver-guide, no strangers, up to 7 travellers per car.
Can we change the route or add nights?
Yes. Because the tour is private, we can add a night, swap a stop or change the end city. Tell us when you ask for your quote.
